Ladle Repair Solutions

IFGL Gunning Robot MONOCATOR

Designed to withstand high temperatures and rough steelmaking operations, the gunning robots ensure that all hot ladle repairs are carried out quickly, systematically & safely. The robots have very high load carrying capacity, and they also provide thorough protection against probable slag splashes.

The gunning robot monocator ensures optimal ladle repair performance, with the quality of the gunning repair being optimised. The gunning material is economically used, so that there is very little material waste. The position of the robot can be adjusted, so that the ladle lining area that needs maintenance can be reached. Our gunning robots are computer-controlled, for greater reliability.

  • User friendly design & integrated material handling system.
  • Fully automated as well as Remote Radio Controlled modes.
  • Higher operator safety.
  • Less repair downtime.

Gunning Mass

In order to minimise rebound losses, IFGL offers state-of-the-art gunning mass, made from dead-burnt magnesite with very low silica residue and a high percentage of MgO (along with other suitable binders). Since these versatile gunning masses can be used both for repairing damaged linings as well as new linings, they bolster the longevity of the refractory material – thereby ruling out possibilities of extended system downtimes. High corrosion and slag resistance boost the usability of the gunning mass further.
  • High bonding strength, less shrinkage.
  • Same composition of working lining/ or different compositions.
  • High adhesion rate & less rebound loss.
  • Good erosion resistance, good slag resistance.
