Ladle Lining Solutions

Ladle Repair Solutions

Steel ladles can be repaired in either vertical or horizontal orientation and robotic systems have been engaged to maintain all areas of the ladle with targeted repairs for enhancing ladle
lining life.

Ladle Purging Solutions

Ladle inert gas purging is an important operation in steel making process. In this step, molten steel is carefully stirred in the ladle to ensure proper desulphurisation and achieve homogeneity of alloy additives. IFGL designed ladle purging solutions have highest dimensional accuracy & consistency, rule out possibilities of gas leakage, and combine safety & cost-effectiveness. Purge plugs of different designs are available.

Ladle Flow Control

As molten steel moves from ladle to tundish, the flow rates have to be controlled. This is where our ladle shroud and gaskets come into the picture. With efficient, performance-assured ladle gate refractories, chances of steel reoxidation are significantly lowered. Turbulence in the tundish is minimised as well. With the help of oxygen cleaning, ladle shrouds can be reused. Solutions are customised as per the precise casting requirements.
Ladle flow control is an important step in secondary steel making and IFGL has been a pioneer in this area for over 40 years.
