Tundish is the heart of steel continuous casting process and tundish lining refractories are critical for clean steel production and long casting sequence. Linings play a role in determining operational parameters such as super heat requirements, casting speed etc. and influence phenomenon like initial cold running of stopper and nozzle clogging.
